How to Face the 24-Hour Screen-Free Challenge?

This year, the Zoom to Your Rights Contest offers a different experience: Disconnect for 24 hours to pause, observe, feel, and rediscover how you connect with digital technologies.

It's not about being "against" the internet, games, or social networks. It's an opportunity to gain a clearer view of what you like about the digital world, what you don't, and what you could change to make it a healthier, more respectful, and fun environment for all children, teens, and adolescents.

Why Take a Break?

ZOOM A TUS DERECHOS

Technology is present all the time: to learn, play, express yourself, connect with those you want to... But it can also be tiring, distracting, or pressuring. Taking a day without screens can help you:

Listen to how you feel

Observe how you use technology and for what

Rediscover activities you enjoy that don't depend on a screen

Before you start:
How to prepare?

  • Choose a day without urgent tasks, so you can relax.
  • Invite friends, family, or schoolmates to do it together.
  • Have a notebook or paper on hand where you can write, draw, or record what happens to you.
  • If you’re participating in the contest as a group, it’s a good idea to disconnect on the same day!

After the challenge:
What did you discover?

When 24 hours without screens are over, it’s time to return… with a new perspective!

Reflecting as a group will help you focus on what you experienced, share what you felt, and think about what you want to change or propose.

You can have a roundtable, create a bulletin board, use sticky notes, or talk freely. Anything that comes up can be useful to create your final production.
